Small pointed tunnel vaulted chamber in rubble faced earth bank with low entry under stone lintel. Inner chamber is some 2m long by 1m wide and has seat at N end and vent loop at S end where retaining wall returns W.
The purpose is unknown, the structure seems unusually well built for an animal shelter or potato store and has a seat within.
Trewellwell is marked on 1840 Tithe Map as owned and occupied by Rev Thomas Mortimer.
