Farmhouse or small gentry house with formal front range of about 1840 attached to an original house of c1800-20. Marked on 1844 tithe map.
Farmhouse, whitewashed stucco and rubble stone with slate roofs. Earlier to mid C19 front range has hipped roof with small brick end stacks, stuccoed 3-window front with 12-pane sash windows and centre 4-panel door with overlight. Cut slate sills. Roof descends slightly lower in rear elevation; in angle to rear wing, a cambered-headed 6-pane stair light and to right a 6-pane square window over a sash window.
Rear wing is earlier house, whitewashed rubble stone 3-window range with deep chimney wall to left and stone end stack raised in brick. One 9-pane and 2-4-pane sashes above 2 cambered-headed 12-pane sashes with centre door. Left sash appears to have stone voussoirs, right sash brick. End wall has ground floor left window with brick head, rear is outshut with altered window each side of a door in C20 porch.

Included as a significant small gentry house of the earlier C19 created by the addition of the front range to an earlier farmhouse.
