History

C19 churchyard wall to large churchyard. The churchyard contains the prominent memorials to the Stokes and Samson families of Scotchwell including John Lord Stokes (died 1885), his wife Lousia (died 1899), Louis Samson (died 1925) and Sir Edward Marlay Samson KC (died 1949).

Exterior

Churchyard wall of rubble stone with rendered coping. Inset at SE corner with low rubble wall and plain iron railings flanking pair of grey limestone stone gate piers with pyramid caps. Double gates with arrow-shaped finials and dog bars. Modern overthrow with lamp.
