History

Late C19. Mill range is not marked on 1891 OS.

Exterior

Early to mid C19 farm and mill group, L-plan in rubble stone, whitewashed on farm range, with slate roofs. Two-storey farm range and tall 3-and-a-half storey mill at right angles, built onto slope.

Farm range has broad altered opening with enlarged loft entry above, ground floor window to right and stone outside steps to loft door in angle to mill. One small ground floor rectangular opening to left of main entry. Further left, slightly lower section with elliptical arched former cart entry with cut stone voussoirs and loft window under eaves. Window to ground floor left with rough stone voussoirs.

Mill building is 2-storey to E return with big cambered arched openings each floor. Cut-stone voussoirs and double doors. Angle quoins. N gable end has centre basement door with single stone lintel, first floor door set to left with stone voussoirs, second floor central door with single stone lintel and attic 4-pane window. W side has centre second floor window, corrugated iron lean-to, and at SW angle big iron overshot waterwheel made by T Thomas, Cardigan.
