Late C18 to early C19; but with probably early C20 bank front to ground floor..
Bank. Stone built and faced with stucco. Slate roof. Elevation of three storeys, five windows to The Bulwark with crowning cornice with dentils and fluted frieze; long and short quoins; rusticated ground floor. Six-pane sashes on 2nd floor, French casements with shouldered architraves on first floor; full width modern balcony at this level. Ground floor has modern fenestration and doorcase to Bank with Doric columns with open segmental pediment; rectangular doorway.
Building with good C18/early C19 character on important site in old town centre. Group Value with adjacent listed buildings in The Bulwark and St Mary Street, and with St Mary's Church.
