Established as a drapers and grocery in 1841 by the Williams family from Pwlldefaid. This building was almost certainly built, as a men’s outfitters, in 1899-1900 by Woolfall and Eccles, architects of Liverpool on land owned by the Wales Bank. It was said to be one of the best shops of its kind in North Wales.
