Built in the 1820s as part of the burgeoning tourist trade in the area as a result of growing interest in the Picturesque quality of the surrounding mountain landscape and of the nearby Aber Falls in particular.
Irregularly coursed rubblestone with stone-on-edge coping to bridge and abutments. Wide single-span segmental arch with voussoirs and arch-ring.
Included as a substantial early C19 bridge of a characteristic local type in especially picturesque rural location.
