Exterior

A C19 curving retaining wall of rubble stone on bedrock, approximately 130m long between Pont Pensarn and the Lifeboat station. At the W end, abutting Pont Pensarn, is a parapet of dwarf walls and iron railings, between 2 rock-faced piers with pyramidal caps, part of the forecourt to the adjoining bowling green.

Reasons for Listing

Listed for its special interest as a C19 river wall forming a group with Pont Pensarn and the railway retaining wall on the opposite bank.
