History

Early C18, but re-windowed with a later sash type.

Interior

This house is arranged with the entrance hall on the left and the stair running parallel with the front wall. Stair in straight flights with closed string, turned balusters and moulded pine handrail. Through Drawing Room on first floor remodelled in c1830 with black marble firesurround and plain plasterwork. Top floor not seen.

Included for its special architectural interest as a pair of early C18 houses in the Monmouth town centre.
