An C18 corn mill shown as still working on the 1873 Ordnance Survey, but disused by the time of the 1900 survey.
A round tapering windmill base stands to 2-storey height. Of brick, much of it in the process of renewal at the time of inspection. It has doorways in the E and W sides and windows in both storeys. A pitched roof is planned.
Listed, notwithstanding its partial survival and poor condition, as a rare surviving example of a once familiar building type.
