The earliest known date for a church at Ysceifiog is 1254, but the cross is probably of C15 date.
The fragment of the cross comprising an octagonal stone base, and an octagonal tapering stone shaft surviving to a height of approximately 0.9m. A fragment of the cross head lies on the base.
