Farmhouse, probably of C18 origin. The farmhouse range has been extensively modernised in the late C20. The doorway of the cartshed partly blocked and windows and door inserted, the roof has been re-slated and many of the windows replaced with timber-framed casements to retain the character of the originals.
Linear 1½ storey range of farmhouse with former lofted stable at the left (SW) end, accessed by stone steps at the SW gable return, and former lofted cartshed at right (NE) end; a modern porch has been built to the entrance to the farmhouse, offset to the left (SW). Built of local rubble masonry, modern slate roof with projecting eaves and verges; farmhouse and lofted stable with half dormers, lofted cartshed with hipped half dormer. Three brick ridge stacks to the house, one to each end, that to the right denoting the former extent of the farmhouse; a further stack offset to the left. Most of the windows along the range are modern replacements and are narrow 4-pane timber casements, a modern casement window of 4 lights has been inserted to the left of the doorway within the former cartshed opening; flanking the stable doorway at the left (SW) are original 12-pane casements. The original windows flanking the stable doorway have timber lintels, the window to the left (SW) of the porch has a slate lintel, the 3 windows to the right have elliptically arched brick heads and the lintel over the windows and doorway at the far right (NE) end is of roughly dressed stone. The gabled dormers have slate cladding above the windows.
Listed as a late C18 farmhouse range which, notwithstanding modern alterations, retains a strong vernacular character and detail.
