Late 18th century. 3 storey and attic, 5 bay ashlar classical tenement. 2-window wallhead gable, semi-elliptical pend arch.

Statement of Interest

Following the feuing of Lady Nicolson's Park in 1757, estates along the line of Nicolson Street began to be developed for tenements. Building in this area accelerated after the completion of the South Bridge in 1788 which provided the first direct link between the New Town and the Southside of Edinburgh.

Appears on J. Ainslie's Edinburgh map of 1804. Labelled as 'Palmers Buildings' on the 1849 Ordnance Survey Map of Edinburgh.
