Moulded cill course, semicircular openings, round-arch moulded eaves course. Segmental-arch pedimented doorpiece to W elevation; timber paneled door with arcaded moulding to upper part.
Grey slate to valve house with segmental-arched ridge vent. Cast-iron rainwater goods.
Constructed in 1906 as part of improvements to the city drainage system, this diminutive pair of granite ashlar buildings are situated on separate quays. They are intervisible and are of some quality with their fine detailing and cast-iron rainwater goods. Functional buildings of this type with such attention to detail are rare and they add significantly to the built environment of the harbour.
