Circa 1890, possibly minor alterations circa 1920-25 by George Bennet Mitchell. Well-detailed, little altered single storey and attic, U-plan stable block with lower garage conversion at E wing. Large granite blocks with raised margins, and some bull-faced cills. Crowstepped gables with finials or stacks, attic windows with piended dormer heads breaking eaves, conical-roofed circular ridge ventilators. Chamfered reveals, timber transoms and mullions, some boarded timber doors with plate glass fanlights.
FURTHER DESCRIPTION: courtyard elevation to SE with lower projecting outer wings, that to SW M-gabled, that to NE with broad garage type doors on return to left.
4-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks and ashlar-coped skews with moulded skewputts. Cast iron square-section gutters, and downpipes with decorative rainwater hoppers.
The stable block, sited just to the SW of Dinnet House, is a little altered survival retaining significant presence in its group with the house. The Walled Garden, North Lodge, and East Lodge and Gates are also separately listed. George Bennet Mitchell carried out alterations to both Dinnet House and estate buildings in the earlier 20th century, possibly undertaking the garage conversion at that time.
