18th century. 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan house. Rendered, exposed curb stone to base running along principal elevation.
SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: asymmetrical elevation. Door off-centre right, window to left, pend entrance to far right leading to 32 and 34 High Street. 1st floor windows arranged close to eaves; left window above ground floor window, narrow window to right above far left of pend entrance.
SW ELEVATION: attached to 30 High Street.
SE ELEVATION: attached to 38 High Street.
Modern timber door, 2-leaf boarded door to pend. 4-pane timber sash and case windows. Pitched roof, slate eaves easing course, modern red clay pantiles. Raised skew with partially moulded skewputt to SW. Rendered coped stack, replacement circular cans to SW.
NOTES: Although altered the cottage retains some original features being an example of the smaller, older houses found in the area. It is possible that the section over the pend was added when No 38 to the SE was built in the 19th century. The pronounced curb stone running along the principal elevation protected the walls of the house from passing traffic, Aberdour was renowned in the 18th and 19th century as having poor roads.
