19th century with later alterations. Symmetrical 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan terraced house slightly setback from street forming part of a former dairy complex. Snecked, tooled sandstone with droved dressings and stop-chamfered reveals. Modern 2-pane timber sash and case windows, grey slate pitched roof. Distinctive single storey gabled porch centred to NW (principal) elevation with ball finial, small windows to returns with remnants of painted 'Dairy' lettering to lintels. Bipartite windows to outer bays at ground and 1st floor of principal elevation with single window centred to 1st floor. SW and NE elevations adjoined to terrace. Altered and rendered rear SE elevation with irregular openings. Interior modernised.
BOUNDARY WALL AND RAILINGS: tooled low sandstone wall flanking porch to NW, semi-circular coping surmounted by modern plain iron railings.
The house is of good streetscape value and historically interesting being directly associated with the former local dairy. A steading stands to the rear of the property which would have housed the milking cows. A square-plan milking shed stood adjacent to the rear of the house, this has been demolished, however some of its foundations remain beneath the ground. When the present owners took possession of the house in the early 1980s the interior was gutted, it is their understanding that the house had been split into 4 dwellings during the 20th century.
