Probably John Baird of Glasgow, 1855. Flat-coped rubble quadrant walls with cushion-coped square-section bull-faced gatepiers.
John Baird of Glasgow designed the new Ury House for Alexander Baird who took over the estate after the death of Robert Barclay-Allardice in 1854. At this time a new viaduct was erected to the east of the main house on the east gate road. Referring to the Ury Estate, the Statistical Account notes that "Around a great part of the domain, a high wall of stone and lime has been built". It continues, "This is, perhaps one of the finest seats in any part
of the country". The nearby Blue Lodge is listed separately.
