B-group with Nos 10, 12 and 14 Main Street (see separate listings). This house is situated at the bottom end of a 2-storey row of 18th century cottages (formerly known as Davidson's Buildings) with central unit (10 and 14 Main Street) still consisting of separate upper and lower dwellings with characteristic forestair to upper house. Weston House was formerly 2 dwellings, converted into a single 2-storey dwelling in late 19th century. The roof was refurbished in late 20th century according to late 19th century arrangement, however original terracotta fleur-de-lis finial set on ridge removed and placed on ground next to main door. The lane or close now known as Charlie Black's Close was also at one time known as Sylvester's Close which led off the King's Way, the old road along West Bay.
