Description updated 2018.
This would appear to be the same 'bridge of two arches, at Ballindalloch' referred to as recently erected in the Statistical Account for Balfron. This was erected largely at the expense of Robert Dunmore, who erected a cotton mill in Balfron in 1789 and a printworks and bleachfield on the opposite bank of the Endrick in Killearn parish shortly afterwards. Other local landowners also contributed.
