Early-earlier 19th century. 2-storey; 3-bay; rectangular-plan farmhouse with long flanking single storey wings. Overall symmetrical layout with regular fenestration to principal (S) elevation of house. Rubble, mainly rendered and painted white; small sections of wings rebuilt in brick to N side. Dressed surrounds to windows to house.
S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: later gabled and finialled porch to central entrance of house; panelled timber door; window to right return. Window above; flanking windows to each floor. 2 windows to right of left wing; window at higher level to left.
N ELEVATION: near central window to ground and 1st floor of house; window to right of that to ground floor (former window to right blocked). 2 entrances to left wing; window to right of that to right. Window (formerly entrance) to left of right wing; 4 entrances to right (that to left with window adjoining to right).
E and W ELEVATIONS: blank gable ends to house and projecting single storey wings.
UPVC replacement windows to house; mainly timber replacements with top-hung upper casements to wings.Grey slate roofs. Coped gablehead stacks to either side of house; that to E rendered; round and octagonal cans.
INTERIOR: not inspected (1999).
An intact early-earlier 19th century farmhouse. It appears in its current plan form on the 1865 OS map. The associated farm outbuildings to the N are not included in the listing.
