Later 19th century. 2-storey with attic, 3-bay, rectangular-plan, classical tenement with shops to ground. Squared and snecked, tooled sandstone courses with ashlar margins.
W (PRINICIPAL) ELEVATION: single bay, plate glass and timber-framed shop front to bay to left with recessed entrance bay; timber fascia terminating in projecting timber cornice and outer consoles. Pilastered entrance to tenement to centre; timber panelled door, fanlight; architrave continued from bay to left. Double bay, plate glass and timber framed shop front with central recessed entrance; broad timber architrave and projecting cornice above, consoled to outer right. Moulded architraves, projecting cornices to 2nd storey windows; single window to centre, flanked by stone mullioned, bipartite windows. Projecting cornice to eaves, terminating in coped parapet; Battered wallhead stack to centre with small window, flanked by wallhead dormers, breaking parapet, heavily moulded pediments.
E (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen 2001.
N (SIDE) ELEVATIO: obscured by abutting building.

INTERIORS: timber panelling and plinths to bay window displays. Upper storeys not seen 2001.
Plate glass, timber-framed, sash and case windows to right bay, upper storeys, double-glazed, tilt-and-turn windows to centre and left bay, plate glass shop windows to ground. Concealed, pitched roof; grey slates, lead flashing.
Tenement with shops to ground notable for well preserved late 19th century shop fronts, unusual attic storey and battered wallhead stack with inset window.
