JB Russell, 1913 with later alterations and additions. 2-storey, 15-bay, square, courtyard-plan, William and Mary school building. Central entrance portico with lantern above advanced outer bays, mansard roof. Squared and tooled discoloured yellow ashlar sandstone with ashlar margins. Base course, continuous cill courses, eaves course, mutuled projecting cornice; regular fenestration, Scotia moulded architraves to openings.
SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: stone steps to 2-leaf panelled door, semicircular fanlight above, projecting keystone to architrave, flanking Tuscan columns supporting broken entablature and pediment; low relief, figurative sculpted panel above. Octagonal lantern to roof, ogee cap with weather vane finial. 4 flanking bays to left and right; advanced triple bays to outer left and right.
NW (REAR) ELEVATION: obscured by later additions.
SW (SIDE) ELEVATION: regular fenestration, 3-bay, blind arcade to outer left projecting bay. Boiler stack to outer right.
NE (SIDE) ELEVATION mirror to SW.
8-pane, stainless steel frame windows. Grey slates, lead flashing. Cast-iron rainwater goods.
INTERIOR: not seen 2001. Blind arcade to central courtyard.
