Earlier 19th century. Single storey, rectangular-plan, cottage, comprised of 2, 3-bay improved cottages. Harled whinstone and slate rubble. Regular fenestration.
SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 6-bay, regular fenestration, modern timber doors.
NE (REAR) ELEVATION: irregular small and large windows.
NW (SIDE) ELEVATION: harled gable end.
SE (SIDE) ELEVATION: abjoining new build cottage, 9a.
Modern 4-pane, timber sash and case windows. Grey slates, lead flashing, coped stacks with clay cans.
INTERIOR: complete modern refitting.
