Early - earlier 20th century. First World War memorial. Plain round-arched gate leads to Crossford Village Hall; decorative foliage detail including thistles above gates sweep up to central plaque. Plaque names the men 'of this village who fell in the European war'; black plaque; names and surround in gold paint; border painted light blue and dated 1914-1918. Surmounting gold coloured crown and red painted standing lion with raised forelegs. Panels flank gate; blue and white saltire to right; red and yellow lion rampant to left. Small section of flanking railings with flower and bird detail.
