Mid 19th century, extended to rear later 19th century. 2-storey double-fronted terraced house. Principal (S) elevation of coursed cherry-caulking whinstone with droved ashlar dressings; rear (N) extension of yellow brick. Droved architraves to principal (S) elevation; projecting cills to windows.
S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical design; central entrance with panelled timber door and rectangular fanlight; flanking windows to each floor and one above. Quoins to either side of elevation; coped skews.
N ELEVATION: entrance with rectangular fanlight and boarded timber door to right of centre. Flanking windows to each floor and one above; projecting brick sills.
E ELEVATION: adjoins 59 West High Street.
W ELEVATION: adjoins 63 West High Street.
Mainly 4-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roofs; that to rear extension is piended. Flanking coursed stone ridge stacks with band courses to main section; single brick corner stack to rear (N) extension; round cans.
INTERIOR: not inspected (1998).
An intact mid 19th century terraced house with a fine cherry-caulking whinstone principal elevation.
