Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey; double-fronted; terraced cottage. Harled with painted stone dressings. Architraved openings and vertical margins at arrises to principal (N) elevation.

N (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: near symmetrical arrangement. Entrance to left of centre; panelled timber door with 3-light rectangular fanlight; flanking windows to each floor and window above.

E ELEVATION: adjoins No 3 the Loan.

W ELEVATION: adjoins No 5 the Loan.

12 and 4-pane timber sash and case windows to principal elevation. Grey slate roof. Flanking rendered/harled coped gablehead stacks; round cans.

Statement of Interest

B Group with the adjoining terraced properties (see separate list descriptions for Nos 1-3 and Nos 5-7), which together form a varied and relatively well preserved early terrace. No 4 is slightly taller than the adjoining properties and retains its original glazing pattern.
