Later 18th century, with later alterations. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan classical house. Harled. Painted surrounds to square-headed openings.
SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: single window to central advanced entrance porch; entrance to right re-entrant angle; glazed timber door; flanking single windows at ground and 1st floor (additional single window at ground floor to left of porch). Low pitched section with single window links to later addition.
NW (SHAWFIELD AVENUE) ELEVATION: 3-bay (main house). Regular fenestration at ground and 1st floor (central window at ground floor, semi-filled); additional square window at ground floor to right). Single window to modern cat-slide roofed section to right; windows at ground and 1st floor to re-entrant angle to right; glazed timber door to left; single windows to right at ground and 1st floor to recessed section, to outer right.
NE AND SW ELEVATION: not seen 1999.
Predominantly 12-pane timber sash and case windows. Slate roof; stone skews; rooflights; coped gablehead stacks; circular cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods.
INTERIOR: not seen 1999.
ANCILLARY STRUCTURES: single storey ancillary structures to SE and NE of main house.
Marked as Fenwickland on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map. A notable remaining 18th century structure in the largely 20th century residential surrounding area. Modern boundary wall and gate to Shawfield Avenue.
