Description

1936. columnar post box with swept frieze to shallow-domed cap, dentilled at rim. Cast-iron; painted red. Base (painted black), shaft bearing 'EVIIIR' in raised lettering, with crown above and 'Post Office' below.

Statement of Interest

One of very few post boxes cast in the short reign of Edward VIII.
