Description

Later 19th century with later additions and alterations. Symmetrical single storey, 3-bay gate lodge with gabled porch projecting at centre. Coursed render. Overhanging eaves; decorative bargeboards. Architraved timber window surrounds.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: single window with pointed-arched glazing centred in projecting porch; timber door in return to left. Single windows with pointed-arched, timber bipartite glazing in bays recessed to outer left and right.

Horizontal-pane, pointed-arched glazing in timber casement windows. Grey slate roof. Coped apex stacks; octagonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1999.

Empty 1999. Associated with the nearby Law House - see separate list entry, 'Coldingham, Law House'. A late but well-detailed lodge, particularly notable for the retention of its decorative bargeboards and pointed-arched glazing.
