Circa 1874. Entrance to Millbank Stables comprising coped and coursed tooled cream sandstone quadrant walls flanking entrance (stepped to N). Square-plan, stop-chamfered piers to outer left and right; plain pyramidal caps. Larger square-plan, stop-chamfered gatepiers with corniced, pyramidal caps; gates missing. Coped rubble walls to outer left and right partially enclosing site.
Originally associated with the nearby Millbank House. Although the former stable block with which this entrance is now associated is not listed (converted to residential use and now called 'Millbank Stables'), the quadrant walls and piers remain impressive and relatively intact, mirroring those opposite which are listed with Millbank Lodge - itself dated 'AD 1874' and thought to be contemporary with the walls.
