Early 19th century with later repairs. Single arched bridge spanning Polwarth Burn. Ribbon-pointed sandstone rubble. Tooled rubble voussoirs to small, round-arched openings. Splayed walls with cement and rubble coping; circular-plan terminal piers.
A simple bridge forming part of the main road into and out of what was Polwarth centre - recorded as having 227 inhabitants in 1881 and now virtually empty. The road is so named after an argument between 2 packmen at St Mungo's Fair - held on the green at the height of village's importance. One of the men was murdered and subsequently buried nearby - his grave being marked on the early Ordnance Survey map.
