Late 18th to early 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay terraced tenement with shop at ground. Rendered stone, dry-dash to ground, painted ashlar dressings; base course, 1st floor cill course, eaves course and quoin strips.
S ELEVATION: tripartite shopfront to centre and right of taller ground floor, late 19th to early 20th century, with in-canted doorway and large flanking shop windows, fascia with closing console brackets. 2-leaf later iron shop gate. Tenement door to outer right. Door and window to residential accommodation to outer left. 3 regularly spaced windows at 1st floor with tympany gable at centre.
Modern glazing. Boarded and panelled doors with letterbox fanlights. Gablehead stacks, thackstanes. Grey slate roof. Cast-iron fanlights.
INTERIOR: not seen 1999.
A traditional terraced burgh tenement with good shopfront at ground and tympany gable, contributing well to the streetscape of the town's main thoroughfare.
