Mid 19th century. 2-storey and single storey, U-plan, piend-roofed, pantiled steading. Sandstone rubble with weathered ashlar quoins. Segmental-headed cart arches with voussoirs.
W ELEVATION: 2-storey, 4-bay cartshed to left with cart arch and sliding timber doors to centre at ground, and windows in flanking bays; 4 regularly disposed windows to 1st floor. Courtyard (see below) to centre and single storey range with dominant shouldered wallhead stack to right.
COURTYARD: S ELEVATION: 2-storey ranges. Cart arch with sliding timber door to outer left at ground, and 2 windows to 1st floor. Slightly lower stable and hayloft ranges to centre and right, each with centre door and flanking windows below hayloft openings breaking eaves into piended dormerhead and small flanking openings. Further bay to outer right with window to ground and small opening above. Interiors retain cast-iron columns and looseboxes.
N ELEVATION: single storey range. Bothy to outer right with corrugated roof to open range on 4 cast-iron columns to left.
W ELEVATION: covered cattle court with corrugated roof and broad opening with timber doors.
N ELEVATION: 2-storey cartshed to right with 2 doors to ground, window to left and broad opening to right at 1st floor. Corrugated range to left with 2 broad openings and 2 piended pantiled ranges (cattle courts) to outer left.
Mostly 9-pane glazing with shuttered low thirds; most doors boarded timber. Clay pantiles with slate eaves easing course unless stated otherwise. Cast-iron downpipes with decorative rainwater hoppers.
