Earlier to mid 19th century with later additions and alterations. Symmetrical 2-storey, 3-bay house with single storey and attic wing at rear forming L-plan. Squared and snecked tooled sandstone rubble (repointed at rear); sandstone ashlar dressings. Droved quoins; droved long and short surrounds to openings; projecting cills.
SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: deep-set timber panelled door centred at ground; rectangular fanlight with crossed astragals; plain, corniced door surround. Single window centred at 1st floor; single windows at both floors in flanking bays.
SW (SIDE) ELEVATION: original block with single window at ground in bay to outer right. Lower wing recessed to left with part glazed boarded timber door in bay to right; 4-pane fanlight.
NW (REAR) ELEVATION: single storey with attic wing projecting to outer left with single window centred beneath apex. 2-storey block recessed to right with stair window to left; single windows at both floors in bay to outer right.
NE (SIDE) ELEVATION: original block with single windows at both floors in bay to right. Lower wing slightly recessed to right with single windows at ground in both bays.
Predominantly 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows; 18 pane stair window; some 4-pane windows to side. Grey slate roof; raised stone skews; replacement rainwater goods. Corniced brick apex stacks; various circular cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
