Early 19th century. Low single storey traditional, 3-bay gabled cottage. Whitewashed rubble. Door to centre, masked by later porch extending to left with catslide roof continuing from main pitch; window to right. Blank end gables with window off-centre right to rear. Timber sash and case windows. Tarred felt roof. Coped gablehead stacks. Interior: not seen (1998).
This Stormy Hill cottage is the least altered surviving remnant of a former crofting township which stood on the site before the expansion of Portree under the auspices of Lord Macdonald. See listing of further similar cottage at angle with Coolin Drive and, abroad within the same parish, Dan Sleigh's Cottage at Camastianavaig.
