Late 19th century with later refurbished interior. 2-storey, 3-bay end of terrace public house with corner bay (flanking channelled pilasters at 1st floor) to right and carved corner panel above. Painted sandstone ashlar (wet dash to side) with painted dressings. Base course; cornice between ground and 1st floor; eaves course and cornice. Raised margins and roll mouldings to 1st floor windows.
SE (RAPLOCH STREET) ELEVATION: bracketted stone canopy with blocking course and decorative wrought-iron balustrade over architraved doorway at ground in bay to centre; replaced timber door with blocked fanlight; window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in bay to left. Window (block to lower half) at ground in bay to right; window at 1st floor above. Replacement timber surround to doorway at ground in corner bay; applied 'CURLY'S' lettering to frieze above; bipartite window at 1st floor; scrolled brackets and ball-finialled pilasters flanking carved 'CROSSGATE' panel with cornice and carved round-arched initial panel to centre above.
NE (CROSSGATES STREET) ELEVATION: blank wall with tall wallhead stack to centre.
2-pane timber sash and case windows; fixed picture windows at ground. Grey slate piended roof; ashlar coped stack to NE; cast-iron rainwater goods.
INTERIOR: modern refurbishment.
Fine corner detailing and striking doorway to the Raploch Street elevation.
