Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. Single storey and attic, 3-bay, approximate L-plan classical house. Painted ashlar, rubble stone to sides and rear, base course, eaves band, cornice and blocking course, plain margins.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: central door, rectangular fanlight, porch Roman Doric columns, plain architrave and frieze, cornice continuous with eaves cornice, small additional gabled dormer centred above. Flanking bays symmetrical, canted piended dormers above.

S ELEVATION: blank gable end, square, chamfered gatepiers abutting to left.

N ELEVATION: gable end, 1 window, timber shed built against wall.

E ELEVATION: advanced section with later harled addition, 1 window to

E face, 2 windows N and S faces, 1 bay to left of advanced section.

Modern replacement windows, re-roofed in grey machine tiles, stone skews, corniced ashlar gablehead stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1997.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATEPIERS: rubble stone boundary walls to N, E and S, rendered and painted to W. Square, chamfered gatepiers to W.
