Statement of Interest

Originally thatched, this cottage has otherwise retained its original form, although the original roof structure may remain beneath the secondary covering. A few such cottages in Clydesdale still retain their thatch beneath temporary covering; examples can be found at Birkfield, Boghall Road, Carluke Parish and at Dunsyre Road, Newbigging, Biggar Parish (both listed separately).
