J S Rhind, circa 1920. Carved Celtic cross 1st World War memorial site to SE of Edrom village. Sandstone ashlar, with concrete base, surmounted rusticated base, ashlar pedestal, tapering rectangular- section ashlar to cross. Celtic-carving to cross, below which carved inscription: "Sacred to the Memory of Officers, NCOs and Men of Edrom who fell in the Great War of 1914-1918". Names of captains carved to S of pedestal; of privates to E and W. Sculptor's name carved to S, to rusticated base. Modern railings.
