Circa 1860. 2-storey, 6-bay pair of gabled symmetrical houses with Tudor Gothic details; set back from street. Rectangular-plan with advanced end blocks and later additions to rear. Squared and snecked stugged yellow sandstone; polished surrounds to openings; long and short quoins. Chamfered surrounds to windows; canted windows to outer left and right. Doric columned stone porches with tudor arches and swept piended roofs; overhanging eaves.
S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central porches set in re-entrant angles with advanced bays to outer left and right. Doric column to left and right of centre No 188 and No 190 respectively supports moulded Tudor arch; blank frieze; projecting eaves and swept piended roof with grey diamond slates. Timber panelled doors and plate glass fanlights to both. Single windows to inner bays at both floors; gable aligned above. 2-storey, 3-light canted windows in bays to outer left and right; timber quatrefoil-details set in apex. Later dormer window to No 190 in bay to inner right.
4-pane timber sash and case windows in bays to inner left and right.
4 and 2-pane timber sash and case windows to canted openings. Grey slate gabled roof in diminishing courses. Coped sandstone apex stacks to E (3 octagonal cans) and W (2 octagonal cans); mutual ridge stack to centre (full set of octagonal cans).
BOUNDARY WALL: coursed yellow sandstone wall; polished sandstone coping. Replacement ironwork; driveway access to both.
