Statement of Interest

Little Raith belonged, in the 1830?s, to R Ferguson Esq, of Cluny Coal, whose "wooded properties" extended to "73 acres, 3 roods, 9 falls", second only to Lord Minto. The NSA continues "Our farm-steads have been much improved; and those on the property of Captain Wemyss and Mr Ferguson of Raith are the best" (p168).
