Southwest (main) elevation: 2 storey block with single storey bay to outer left. Gabled bay advanced, bowed window, decorative cast-iron balcony; tripartite window at 1st floor. Gabled porch in re-entrant angle to right, 2-leaf half-glazed door, blind window at outer right return. Single storey to outer left, bipartite window.
Southeast elevation: broad, harled gable to outer right with porch to left, gabled dormer. Windows at ground, 1st floor to right of gable; single storey block to outer right, bipartite window. Plate glass sash and case window. Purple/grey slate roof, broad wallhead stack at rear, octagonal cans, apex stacks at single storey blocks.
Gatepiers and boundary wall: gatepiers with stop chamfered arrises, trefoil headed caps. Whinstone wall with heavy harl pointing; quatrz coping.
The villa is shown on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey map and is similar in style to Seymour lodge (LB43465) designed by Alexander Thomson. It is one of a number of good villas along the Rosneath Road.
