Circa 1890. Single storey 6-bay pair of cottages. Stugged ashlar with stop-chamfered droved ashlar margins to windows; stugged squared and snecked ashlar to side elevations; harled flat-roofed addition to centre of each cottage. Gabled porch with timber posts and tapering pilasters to centre of each cottage, SE (principal) elevation, with boarded door and 2-pane fanlight above and wrought-iron hinges; tripartite windows in flanking bays.
Timber sash and case windows (4-pane upper sash and plate glass to lower sash). Slate roof with exposed rafters and terracotta ridge tiles. Ashlar coped wallhead and mutual stacks.
INTERIOR: not seen, 1995.
The cottages do not appear on 1st edition OS map, 1857. These cottages are in particularly good condition and are a fine example of a traditional building type.
