Description

Dated 1839. Rectangular plan with later porch and 2 bay return to Malcolm Street. Harled, rusticated quoins, raised decorated margins; all dressings finely rendered; rubble south gable lit by 2 long windows. Single windows flanking porch, blind window above; ground and 1st floor windows (to light galleried interior) to Dempster Street all with diminutive lying-pane glazing. Rubble wall, low and coped toSinclair Terrace with cast-iron railing.

Statement of Interest

Corner site with Malcolm Street, Ecclesiastical building in use as such. Date on front (north) apex finial. Originally Reformed Presbyterian Church; 1876 Martyrs Free Church 1900 UF Church. Interesting historically as early place of worship for earl reformed congregation.
