Circa 1830. Classical, 3 storey 3-bay freestanding banking house with additional ground floor bay to south over basement, facing river frontage. Ashlar to Bridge Street and to river; remaining elevations rubble. Bridge Street frontage; rusticated quoins and outer pilasters; advanced ground floor centre bay forming base for outer pair of piers and Ionic columns framing central window and supporting entablature which extends across full frontage. Architraved window to front, with cornices to 1st floor; dentilled cornice with blocking course over 2nd floor; corniced end stacks. Projecting 3 bay river frontage to south with 4 urns to parapet; later centre canted bay window to 1st floor. Piended slate roof.
