Description

Early 19th century with later alterations. 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan symmetrical house, with single storey 3-bay shed adjoining to W and 2 storey with attic, 3-bay house adjoining to E (see Notes), built on ground rising steeply to W. Harled. 1st floor windows hugging eaves.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: architraved, deep-set part-glazed timber panelled door at ground in bay to centre; window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in each bay flanking.

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate; stone ridge; concrete skews; harled corniced gablehead stack to W; harled corniced common stack to E; uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1997.

OUTBUILDING: rectangular-plan, harl-pointed rubble shed adjoining W of main house. Boarded door to outer left and right; small window set to left between. Old Orkney Grey slate; stone ridge; rubble corniced stack to W gablehead.

WALLED GARDEN; rubble wall enclosing rectangular-plan garden to W with boarded entrance gate to SW angle.
