Late 18th century. 2-storey, 4-bay rectangular-plan symmetrical house, now offices. Whitewashed rubble; painted surrounds to openings. Projecting cills. Rubble and brick M-gabled warehouse to rear.
S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: single window to left; timber and glass door to right in elliptical-arched keystoned central pend; 2 single windows aligned above at 1st floor. Single windows at ground and 1st floor in bay to outer right. Single leaf timber door to outer left; single window at 1st.
Predominantly 12-pane timber sash and case windows; cast iron rooflights. Grey slate roof; gablehead stacks with ashlar dressings; circular cans.
INTERIOR: modern commercial interior to house. Timber floor, pillars and roof to warehouse.
BOUNDARY WALLS: brick boundary wall enclosing site.
This property is an important one, for it provides the last remaining example of historic Stranraer port life in the form of the large warehouse to the rear of the house, which retains its glazing and timber loading bays.
