Description

Built circa 1840. 2-storey 3-bay schoolhouse. Grey stugged
ashlar, polished dressings. Panelled central door with
rectangular fanlight, Roman Doric-columned doorpiece;
12-pane sashes; end stacks; roofed with graded slates. Low
rear addition.

Statement of Interest

B Group with school. (Item 26). School, master's house and

salary endowed by Mrs Crichton of Friars Carse (d. 1838).
