Church designed by W D McLennan and built 1899-1904. Art nouveau interpretation of Gothic, but a basic formula modified: elements such as the nave-and-aisles pattern, and a main gabled front with traceried gallery-level window (this fronts Cyril Street), are orthodox West of Scotland features; singular, are the overall artistic treatment, plus features such as (for instance) the porches flanking the gable, which are treated as turrets with enormous steep, slated roofs. Lower Hall block at south end of flank to Violet Street. Red Ashlar; slate roofs with red ridging.
No longer in eccleasiastical use (1994).
